This project is inspired by the classic pattern of the human-faced fish motif on ancient Chinese painted pottery. The design transforms this historically rich pattern into a modern packaging concept that seamlessly blends traditional Chinese cultural elements with contemporary design aesthetics. The packaging consists of a drawer box and a paper bag. The drawer box enhances the unboxing experience, making the retrieval of items more ceremonial, while the paper bag is lightweight, eco-friendly, and suitable for everyday use. The design features simplified and dynamic lines that convey a strong sense of traditional culture while aligning with modern international design trends. The use of patterns and colors is not just decorative; it serves as a tribute to and reinterpretation of ancient Chinese culture, breathing new life into traditional elements and allowing them to shine in contemporary design.
