Audrey Large: Metamorphosis SignalsBRH+
This book is dedicated to the work of Audrey Large and is part of an editorial series published by Quodlibet. Richly illustrated with photographs, these books showcase the creative processes and final artworks of young emerging designers participating in the IN Residence Residencies program, a design research platform that promotes and supports creative talent. The entire series is written and edited by Barbara Brondi & Marco Rainò.
Audrey Large’s works challenge the authenticity of vision and perception, presenting objects that blur the line between tangible and intangible. Resembling holograms and mirages, these hybrid forms possess an illusionistic quality. Created through innovative 3D printing processes, Large’s designs manipulate digital data to offer a novel approach in contemporary design. These hyper-real, ambiguous objects provoke cultural consciousness to embrace metamorphosis, marked by a radically naïve aesthetic and a strong sense of illusion.
