Africa Hall - A Monument to African HistoryVisiOnAir studio

We are publishing a limited edition of the book dedicated to the inauguration of the renovated Africa Hall. This monograph focuses on the origins and history of the Africa Hall in Addis Ababa, a building designed by architect Arturo Mezzèdimi and inaugurated in 1961 by Emperor Haile Selassie I as the first venue of the United Nations in Africa.
The purpose of this publication is to explore the origins of Africa Hall, the historical context in which it was conceived, and provide a critical analysis of its architectural features, while reflecting on the life and work of its architect, Arturo Mezzèdimi.
This first edition will be followed by a second one, to be published by ORO in Spring 2025, with international distribution.
We envision the book to have a strong visual identity, achieved through meticulous graphic design and a striking selection of both historical and contemporary photographs, complementing its scientific content.
