Intervallo: un magazine per ritrovare il silenzio e sperimentare parentesi di pausa interioreUniversità IUAV di Venezia

A quarterly magazine by the name of ‘Intervallo’, developed to reason about the need to rediscover the silence left out in the daily cacophony of sound and hearing.
In this case, silence is not to be understood as the absence of sound, but as a meditative space characterised by an optimal condition to abstract oneself from the noise of the present, paying attention to the environment. By means of columns dedicated to artists who privilege listening as a reflective parenthesis, in-depth articles on pieces of music, places, objects and practices that induce recollection, interviews and readings, the magazine develops the importance of silence, proposing, even visually, an editorial graphic design as a tool for disconnection.
The tactility of the paper, to convey an idea of slowness, is fundamental: the project, which also consists of a bookmark, is made of Arena Fedrigoni paper, chosen with different finishes.
