Era de Maggio, NAPOLI 1987/1990United Colors of Naples

‘Era de Maggio’ is the catalogue of Calcio Napoli’s first two championships, in 1987 and 1990; the Napoli of Diego Armando Maradona, recounted by 100 shots, in black and white and in colour, by the master Luciano Ferrara, to revive the time of joy etched on the faces of the people in the neighbourhoods of Naples, in the alleys and squares filled with blue flags, parading for three consecutive days.
Luciano Ferrara is one of Italy’s leading photojournalists. He began his activity in 1964 in the studios of various photographers in Naples.
For over fifty years, he has passionately followed the major popular movements in Europe.
Today, Luciano Ferrara represents an important piece of Naples’ historical memory, a memory that extends beyond the city walls.
‘Era de Maggio’ is the realisation of Luciano Ferrara’s dream: to unite, around his images, the Neapolitan people of the many communities scattered around the world, in this beautiful time of the May festival 2023.
