Competing Projects 2025
PellicolaTomomot
Pellicola is an independent photography magazine that explores the art and craft of photography through diverse perspectives. The design of its inaugural issue embraces a philosophy of contrast. By combining black and white typography, distinct fonts, and a dynamic interplay of filled and blank spaces, the magazine’s dual essence is captured—rooted in the digital era yet deeply connected to the tactile experience of analog photography. Each section features a custom layout, paired with different Fedrigoni papers to reflect the diversity of content—from articles and interviews to essays. The cover and an initial insert are enhanced with a silver print, nodding to the traditional chemistry of photography and the art of the gelatin silver print. This design approach reflects a commitment to crafting a visual narrative that honors the magazine’s unique vision.
