Balenciaga. The elegance of the hatTodojunto

Catalogue for the exhibition “Balenciaga. The elegance of the hat” curated by Silvia Ventosa and Igor Uria Zubizarreta. Co-edited by Museu del Disseny in Barcelona & Cristóbal Balenciaga Museoa in Getaria.

The publication follows the the exhibition’s the focus is Cristobal Balenciaga’s headwear. After an introductory section printed in Arena in which several expert voices participate, the photographs of the hats take center stage in an extensive gallery section printed on Symbol Freelife e/e33 raster, giving an added texture.

One of the objectives of the book is to reflect the timeless elegance of Balenciaga’s brand, with a contemporary touch. For that, the composition, the choice of typography and the tactility of the materials is relevant to the overall experience.
