‘KONINGIN ELISABETHZAAL – 125 jaar klassieke muziek’
With this book, the Koningin Elisabethzaal in Antwerp, celebrates 125 years of classical music.
To emphasize the golden architecture of the building, the pattern on the cover refers to the banisters and hand-rails inside the Elisabeth hall. Beautiful bordeaux elements – referring to the bordeaux seats in the K. E. hall – appear in the typography of the book, as well as the endpages and the headbands & reading ribbon. The book is printed on two different high-end, tactile papers. A coated white paper was chosen for printing the contrast-rich images in the beginning of the book. The Dutch text is supported by historical images and printed on a natural-toned, uncoated bulk paper.
