SERENOStudio Forward
Sereno is a journey through the clouds and through time, a visual and poetic tale about the figure of weather colonel Edmondo Bernacca. Working side by side with the author, his granddaughter, allowed Studio Forward to approach the volume while maintaining the intimate and familiar character of the narrative while addressing a wide audience. The format is restrained, like that of a diary or notebook, and the paper has a light weight that, while not hindering the rendering of the photographic images, transfers the delicacy and poetic nature of the clouds and memories, further emphasised by the presence of transparent paper inserts, thanks to which the various archive materials overlap each other. The special edition in a slipcase accentuates the preciousness of the book object, reworking the weather maps so dear to the colonel.
