Territoire de chasseStudio A. Stein

This project is a collaboration between photographer Jonas Jacquel and graphic designer Aurélien Stein.
Jonas worked on a photograph series about hunting in the rural area where he lives.
Using a Leica analog camera, for several months he captured the unique atmosphere of these hunting territories (“territoires de chasse”).
Then, he gave carte blanche to Studio A. Stein to design a consistent printed edition.

The ‘pitch’ shade of the Materica collection seemed ideal for the cover to evoke the theme of rural territory. One of the photographs was edited in monochrome to be printed with white ink and so offer a glimpse of the washed-out atmosphere of the series.
Looking for a harmony between the photographs and their support, Aurélien Stein selected Arena Bulk Natural for the interior pages. The paper delivers faded colors and renforces the misty, timeless and intriguing atmosphere.
The publication has been perfect-binded and edited in 10 copies.
