Questioni di genere Politecnico di Bari

Gender-based violence represents one of the most serious and pervasive issues in contemporary society, a deeply rooted phenomenon that perpetuates power imbalances and harmful stereotypes. In response to this challenge, the editorial project *IRA – Incitiamo Reazioni Attive* was created, a series of seven volumes that explore the many facets of gender discrimination and violence. In particular, “Questioni di genere” (Issues of Gender) arises from the need to give voice to the silent forms of gender discrimination, the ones that subtly infiltrate through words and language.
In this project, expressive typography plays a central role, blurring the line between text and image and creating compositions that communicate concepts, convey emotions, and speak directly to the mind and heart of the reader. Thus, the letter becomes the true protagonist in an experiment of anthropomorphizing typography.
