Le Louvre. Le guidePaper! Tiger!

A new and completely redesigned edition of the Louvre’s official guide, conceived as a chronological stroll through the museum’s collections, illustrated with more than 400 works dating from 7000 BC to 1850+.
Structured around a very narrative text written by Dominique de Font-Réaulx (chief curator), the 320-pages guide is no longer designed as a practical tool used by the visitors inside of the Louvre (for example, it does not contain any map of the museum), but rather as a book that can be read and enjoyed before or after the visit, and that can also be offered as a gift.
The images of the 400 “main” artworks are accompanied by a selection of beautiful old views of the Louvre, visual « cut-ups » and « time-capsules » presenting objects from all origins.
11 versions were designed (French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean), for a total print-run of 78.000 copies.
