Lisbon Sports Club, The Untold StoryNOSSA

The Lisbon Sports Club’s history is one of resilience and passion, standing firm through revolutions, world wars, pandemics, and crises. Despite its modest size and intimate focus on members, it left a profound mark on Portuguese sports. Over time, many of its memories were lost, scattered through relocations. But Nuno Presa Cardoso spent seven years meticulously piecing together its forgotten legacy, unearthing a history intertwined with Portugal’s sporting evolution.

Founded in 1861, the club set the first national athletics records and claimed victory in Portugal’s first football tournament. It became a hub for sports like rugby, hockey, and tennis. The book, crafted with Fedrigoni’s fine papers, beautifully mirrors the club’s legacy—its dark, elegant design, silver finishes, and restored century-old images invite readers to experience its timeless story. This work not only honours the Lisbon Sports Club but also celebrates the heart of Portuguese sporting heritage.
