Making Space. Una nuova idea di residenza universitaria | A new idea of student housingMaurizio Corraini s.r.l.

With the furnishings created for aparto Milan Giovenale, the first student residence of the Hines Group in Italy, Cesare Roversi contributes to the creation of a new model of student housing: a university residence where students can live, meet, study, and feel at home, in the heart of Milan.

Through an immersive photographic narrative and the texts of Francesca Picchi, architect and design historian, the book Making Space tells the story of the aparto Milan Giovenale project within the urban context of Milan and allows exploration of the spaces of the residence designed by the London-based architecture studio Carmody Groarke, for which Cesare Roversi furnishings curated all the furniture.

The work of a historic “design factory” – founded in 1946 in Moglia, in the province of Mantua, and always dedicated to the execution of furniture projects to perfection – thus engages with a city with an increasingly pronounced university vocation.
