The Alassio Culture Festival commissioned this award for the renowned actress Stefania Sandrelli.
As Story Art Designer, I created and designed a unique award in honor of her career. Wooden and mother-of-pearl inlays come together to form a feminine figure that dives into the sea, representing Princess Adelasia with her blonde hair, tied to the legend of the name of the city of Alassio, and embodying the femininity of Stefania Sandrelli, who has become a popular diva.
The sea depicted is that of Viareggio, where she was born, and that of Alassio, which honors her. The chrome plate frames the inlay sections that highlight the milestones of her career: 6 Silver Ribbons, 3 David di Donatello awards, and 1 Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement.
The ribbon secures the packaging, allowing for a curtain-like opening. Inside, two panels tell the story of the award with the original sketch and the tribute from the city of Alassio to this great actress. The finish is a sophisticated matte laminate.
