Renato Cosimato is a small wine producer from Campania, tied to his family’s roots and winemaking tradition. We created the labels for his wines, the central element of which is a design that stems from his story. During a visit to his vineyard, it became clear how attached Cosimato is to his land and his desire to carry on the family dream, which has its roots in the house where the winery is located today. This place is characterised by arches and stairs, symbols of memory and tradition. For the label design, we were inspired by the work of Dalí, De Chirico, Escher and Munari’s ‘Useless Machines’. The aim was to create a visual representation that combines dream and reality, as if emerging from a child’s vision. Thus was born a three-dimensional house on a two-dimensional surface, capable of evoking a dreamlike and nostalgic atmosphere, recalling the depth and nuances of Cosimato’s family traditions.
