Giorgio Ferrero Stati d'animoGiada Marson, Giulia Pastore
*Stati d’animo* is the first monographic volume on Giorgio Ferrero (1916-1975), artist and ceramicist, curated by the Simone Begani gallery and published by CentroDi. Ferrero, a figure of Italian informal abstraction, transcends conventional classifications, weaving together Italian influences, American action painting, and the CO.BR.A group. After his death in 1975, his work was poorly documented but remembered through stories from students and friends, including Betty Woodman and Lara-Vinca Masini, who was the first to showcase his works. The book collects sixty works on paper, paintings, and ceramics from the 1960s, featuring texts by Lara-Vinca Masini, an interview from 2019, a biographical profile, and a critical essay by Mirella Branca.
