Expressions DécolonialesLes Éditions du Château des ducs de Bretagne

Small 84-page artist’s book was published on the occasion of the two-year event “Expressions décoloniales” (History and Contemporary Art around the questions of colonization) presented at the Nantes History Museum, whose guest was the international Beninese artist, Romuald Hazoumè. This book was written by Philippe Dagen, renowned art critic at Le Monde newspaper and Professor at Paris Sorbonne University. The photographs are realized by Valéry Joncheray, photographer from Loire-Atlantique. The éditions du Château des ducs de Bretagne have produced this work entirely (graphic choice, design…), internally. It was printed by Edicolor print (Bain-de-Bretagne). It is a paperback work—richly coloured or with deep blacks—whose first cover plate has been pre-cut for the creation of a bookmark. The reader may or may not detach this bookmark. The sewing of the book binding was made with blue thread.
