The winery is located in an area characterised by the presence of clay (creta), so much so that the neighbouring village to the estate is called Creta. This is why the name ‘Altacreta’ was created as a consequence of the hills on which the wine is born. The territory of Piacenza is characterised by the presence of tourists and inhabitants of the Milan area who come to these hills for convivial wine and food moments. This element, as well as the experience of the estate itself, led to the creation of the payoff ‘vite dei colli’ (vine of the hills), which gave the idea for the labels. In fact, a visual game of background image was created that tells of the cracks in the earth at one time, but at a second glance, those cracks draw a female and a male face.
