Mani, Mani che fanno, Mani che...IUAV di Venezia

‘Mani, Mani che fanno, Mani che…’ (Hands, Hands that make, Hands that…) is an analogue and paper photographic project, conceived as a small book that explores the evocative power of images to narrate the art of creation in Murano glass craftsmanship, offering a close and direct look at the practice of a centuries-old tradition.
Hands that work, that create slowly, through the art of ‘savoir faire’, inviting a reflection on slow and conscious making through an intimate and engaging approach that succeeds in capturing the individual movements and possible imperfections that are created during the creation of true works of art.
The photographs, deliberately in colour, enhance the workmanship, the tools and the context, establishing a direct and profound bond with the observer.
