Stephanie Stein (2024): RUN RUNHELLER & C GmbH
In conjunction with the exhibition RUN RUN RUN at Kunstraum München in the first quarter of 2024, the catalogue RUN RUN represents a more extended view on Stephanie Stein’s work.
One exhibition-related feature is the silkscreen print edition in A1 format, produced on Fedrigoni Arena Natural Smooth paper. It features an image of an ancient Roman rain gutter, alongside the title RUN written in Century Schoolbook typeface — one of the first American serif typefaces, still of obligatory use for official Supreme Court documents. The word RUN subtlety evoking associations with the word RUIN raises questions on the durability of universal power iconography in form of architectural representation — one of the central themes in Stein’s current work.
The entire publication is produced using the same high-profile material, delivering not only a tactile quality but also allowing for exceptionally crisp image reproduction on natural paper.
