Woven WhiskyFreytag Anderson
We were approached to challenge and disrupt the blended whisky space. We came up with the brand name ‘Woven’ as it communicating a sense of warmth and intimacy.
To further challenge perceptions we designed a bottle that looked very different from the expected. The frosted brown apothecary style glass is tactile, warm and covetable – it’s something you want to touch and hold. The vibrant single colour front label in Tintoretto is intentionally minimal, yet tactile and designed to create a sense of curiosity and anticipation.
Each product comes with a paper leaflet, designed to visualise the experience of the whisky, bound by weaving the two parts together, one part 90gsm Arena Rough and one part 250gsm Arena Smooth to create a seamless connection between the product and the brand touch points. They combine to hold a heavy, black insert in Sirio Colour Black in 290gsm which is foiled and hand written to each consumer.
