THE END OF A VOID IS THE BEGINNING OF ANOTHERFranziska

Editorial project for the Oteiza Museum, which arises from the desire of the artist Fermín J.L. to explore the void generated between Oteiza’s sculptures. He relates the term ‘void’ with elements more akin to his work, such as walking, cartography… This paradigm has led him to draw poetically active spaces, measuring the world with the invisible plot generated by the spaces between Oteiza’s works. This idea is reflected in the catalogue, which takes on a travel notebook character. There are also two other noteworthy elements that emphasize the concept of improvised feeling: typography and covers. At the typographic level, a flat, universal, almost mechanical font is used: Arial. And on the covers, lined in blue fabric, the cover is left unprinted, in such a way that the title of each book has been written by the author himself by hand, with a marker. The courtesy pages are presented in a yellow post-it tone, since it is an element with several appearances throughout the book.
