Between The LinesExtract Studio
Between The Lines is a publication by strategy and copy studio Opening Line, which explores the massive (and misunderstood) world of brand language.
The idea came out of a fruitless search for publications that reflected the realities of what it’s like to write brand language in our ever-evolving times.
The brief was collaboratively defined and set to fill the void of anything like this in this space. Not a dull and densely-packed manuscript on cheap paper, but something beautiful that commands attention and inspires creative people to reconsider the place of words in their practice.
Our design combined a distinctive spiral-bound format with a bold typographic palette, playful illustrations, and eye-catching fluorescent spot colour. Smaller tip-in sheets delineate each chapter with expressive pull quotes interspersed throughout.
