Competing Projects 2025
SourcesEditions Sources
The book ‘Sources’ is a limited edition of 2000 numbered and signed copies. Each cover was painted by Charles Belle, making each book an original work of art by the artist. More than 230 reproductions coexist, intersect, and jostle without chronological or thematic classification, offering an intense sample of 40 years of creation. A text by philosopher and writer Yves Michaud explores the place of Charles Belle’s work in the History of Art. The printing was done by L’Imprimeur Simon (France), paying immense attention to each image to achieve a result of very high quality. The binding was designed and crafted to allow the book to open flat throughout.
