Le Petit DidierÉditions deux-cent-cinq

This monograph, the first devoted to the work of Le Petit Didier, has for ambition, beyond giving an account of his impressive graphic work, to question the practice of graphic design today. In order to go through these thirty years of practice, the book is articulated in three parts. The first part gives an account, through numerous documents – drawings, annotations, correspondence and compositions – of the designer’s research work. The second part is led by Vanina Pinter, art historian and graphic design theory teacher. Her analysis is nourished by her dialogue with Michel Lepetitdidier and several of his clients and collaborators. The third part restitutes, on a chronological principle, an important selection of Michel Lepetitdidier’s works conceived between 1989 and 2021. This book invites to meet a man engaged in the drawing
of poetic forms, sensitive but also useful, unceasingly
in search of quality and meaning.
