(Fazer) Teatro Experimental de Cascais (Sonhar)Desisto

The book we designed for Teatro Experimental de Cascais presents a detailed historical narrative about TEC, one of Europe’s oldest still-active theatre companies.

Our design encapsulates TEC’s long and beautiful history with modern typography, intense colours, and some production elements showcasing TEC’s resilience and courage.

We enhanced the visual and tactile experience using premium Fedrigoni papers. The cover features Sirio Color Lampone paper, reflecting the vibrant red of TEC’s brand identity. It is printed in monotone with a double varnish on the dates, making the red stand out vividly without overshadowing the photograph.

Inside, the book block uses two types of paper: Arena Ivory 120g for the index, the book description, TEC context sections at the beginning, and the chronology at the end, providing a smooth, elegant feel for the text. The main body is on Symbol Tatami 115g, showcasing the photographic work and highlighting the images’ depth and detail.
