Rajasthan’s state bird, the Godawan, is critically endangered. Only 100 remain. So we created a way to help with a unique artisanal Indian single malt.
Introducing Godawan – ‘The Spirit of The Desert’. A rare whisky, for a rare bird. Sales fund habitat restoration & safe spaces for feeding and nesting.
Our design champions the unparalleled craftsmanship of Rajasthan & the way beauty can bloom in the extremes of the desert.
FSC-certified Materica Gesso was the perfect choice for the layered label design & carton. Our wordmark, a modern take on Rajasthani script, emerges from a colour-blocked desert horizon line, with tactile patterns inspired by local 6-row barley. Whilst pops of colour from local fabrics aid range navigation. All finished with a hand-drawn illustration of the Godawan bird.
Godawan has already made an impact, ₹11 Million contributed to conservation of the bird to date.
