“Las Ruinas Circulares” takes us to the contemporary south of Lebanon, nicknamed Nabil (the other side of Lebanon), where neither the sun nor death can be looked in the eye. Led by photographer Orianne Ciantar Olive, the project addresses issues of violence, occupation, or forced exiles that have cyclically traversed the territory for decades and how these events have both individual and collective impacts. As both a visual investigation and an experiment with the photographic medium, this body of work constitutes, through a sensitive approach to the ongoing disaster, a testimony to the universal complexity of certain territories to come.
