204 Type-Gazette / Issue 4Bauhaus-Universität Weimar

The 204 Type-Gazette is a biannual publication of the Bauhaus University Weimar, showcasing typefaces designed by students from the Professorship of Typography and Typeface Design. It is named after Typography Workspace 204. The fourth issue of the 204 Type-Gazette revolves around the theme of smoking. From the bittersweet enjoyment of tobacco to the harsh reality of addiction, the topic is humorously explored. By combining detachable posters and classic type specimens, the strict principles of conventional type specimens are broken and presented in a new light, making it accessible to readers from other fields. The use of smoky scented ink and a wide variety of paper choices makes reading an experience in itself.
