Être Méditerranée / Being MediterraneanAtelier Tout va bien

This book is the catalog for the exhibition “Être Méditerranée” at MO.CO. Panacée, an Art Center in Montpellier, France. It brings together contemporary artworks by 22 artists, inviting us to lose ourselves along the Mediterranean coast and reflect on the world. The form of the book is singular: separated into 2 parts, the contents are divided by a 6-page cover and a Z-shaped double binding (stapled/open spine Swiss binding). It requires active manipulation on the part of the reader. It offers a double reading, two different points of view. One section, on white coated paper, is dedicated to the works in the exhibition. Images are territories that touch each other, that share common borders. Forming a horizon, they are aligned in a wide head margin. The other part, yellow paper, is dedicated to the recipes of the 22 artists: cooking, philosophy, alchemy and politics rub shoulders. It’s a warm underwater immersion: variations in the text columns form waves and currents.
