Competing Projects 2025
Nicola Gatta - Cru1000ml
After years of planning, Nicola presents his ‘Cru 151’, a wine made from the harvest of a single plot.
Despite the many vintages, one thing has remained and will always remain the same: the soil of Gussago. That chalky soil, rich in potential, is the same as when Nicola started out, with chalk that sticks to the hands just by touching it.
The packaging design of this wine, full of expectation and anticipation, takes its inspiration from a phrase in which we strongly believe: ‘only through the lens of terroir can a wine be read.’
The label is devoid of colour, characterised exclusively by reliefs. The few bottles produced are packaged by hand, with the palms still smeared with chalk. The whiteness of the label emphasises the irregularity of the surface, revealing details, just as happens among the vineyards on the hills of Gussago.
