The life and death of Mariana Pineda, an heroine of the last 1800´s. In the ‘narrative of her life, of the criminal case in which she was sentenced to the last torture and description of her execution’, written by the father of the Granada woman’s third daughter, in what was her first biography, the arguments of the accusation, since she, among many other things, did not know how to embroider and therefore could not sew the flag as a symbol against the king’s absolutism. How was the trap set, who participated in it and under what threats? What procedures did Ramón Pedrosa, the mayor of crime, use to annul Mariana’s defense? What happened to the body of the executed woman?
