The Chamber of Wonders is the catalog of the first exhibition that inaugurates the cycle of exhibition initiatives to be held at the Castello Della Monica in Teramo. The volume celebrates the partnership with the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum in Milan, which for the occasion has lent part of its treasures: a selection of furniture objects that form a true Wunderkammer, entering into dialogue with the evocative rooms of the historic Abruzzo residence. The catalog gives ample space to the exhibition in its entirety, to the curators’ essays, and to the descriptions of the works. The Materica Acqua paper on the cover, as well as the gold-printed lily pattern on the endpapers, echo the motifs of the frescoed walls in some rooms of the Castle. The 5-color printing (white + four-color process) on the cover plays with the preciousness of the gold hot-stamped ribbon of the letters CDM, initials of both “Castello della Monica” and “Camera delle Meraviglie.”
