Notte MorriconeLe Maus (Maus and Muttley)
Notte Morricone is the new show by choreographer Marcos Morau dedicated to Ennio Morricone and his music. The full company of the Centro Coreografico Nazionale / Aterballetto brings it to life by taking it on an international tour. The theatre booklet of Notte Morricone is an LP made of textured paper, leafing through it one enters into the creative process of the performance just as listening to a record one enters into the musical thought of the person who composed its sounds. Just as in the performance the dance evokes the surfacing from the night and from the dream of Morricone’s melodies, so the words emerge from the nocturnal blue of the paper, transferring into the texts the thoughts of the artists involved in the performance but leaving, on the facing page, a trace of the words like constellations of thoughts in a dream. The unspoken things do not remain unspoken, they take the form of graphics, music and dance.
