Menti is a leading name on the Italian natural wine scene, with generations of winegrowers having succeeded one another on the fertile volcanic soils of Gambellara.
Imagine this scene: a photographer, having happened upon the vines by chance, spots a farmer at work and silently approaches to capture the moment. But there is one detail that strikes him: the farmer’s feet have turned into roots. It is one with the earth, born there and destined to close its cycle in the same place. Nature is cyclical, and man, though not the centre of it, has the good fortune to be one of the spokes that make it turn.
In the 0.75 L bottle version, the volcano appears quiet, waiting. In the 1.5 L magnum version, on the other hand, the volcano erupts, transforming the surrounding landscape. In this constantly moving scenery, our farmer remains still, his roots firmly planted in the ground, testifying to his indissoluble bond with the earth.
