This publication accompanies the exhibition “What Goes Around Comes Around. Bosco Sodi a Palazzo Vendramin Grimani”, held in Venice in 2022.
The design draws from Sodi’s emphasis on raw materials and textures, using a minimalist layout with clean lines, ample white space, and a palette of earthy tones.
High-quality, varied papers underscore the tactile essence of his work, with a textured cover and exposed spine connecting to Sodi’s humble materials.
The catalogue is divided into two sections, each with distinct papers and printing techniques. Essays and reportage are presented on clay-colored rough paper with black ink, while immersive full-color photography on uncoated paper offers a visual journey into Sodi’s creative process.
A singer sewn booklet with translations is tucked into a pocket on the back cover. The design reflects Sodi’s vision of art as a dialogue between materiality and the passage of time, celebrating his residency in Venice.
