Gardulac GinAUGE Design
Gardulac is a botanical gin with a fresh, citrus flavour, produced using botanicals typical of Lake Garda: lemon peel, olive leaves and aromatic herbs.
During the brief, we were asked to design a sophisticated, historical-looking label for a 500 ml glass bottle. The label had to reflect the geographical origin of Gin, incorporating the distinctive yellow colour of the main botanical: lemons from Lake Garda.
Consequently, we developed a label with a layout based on elegant and vintage typographic compositions to express the exceptional quality of the product and its Italian roots. The design, inspired by Art Nouveau typography, pays homage to the tradition of Lake Garda advertising posters from the 1930s.
