Aubes et CrépusculesOdyssée

“Aubes et Crépuscules” is a delicate book featuring a collection of photographs by French photographer Dominique Laugé and short poems by Russian author Dimitri Bortnikov. Laugé photographs first and last moments of daylight, rendering natural elements mysterious and revealing structures invisible in broad daylight. The book embodies the experience of these suspended moments, “entre chien et loup” as the French expression goes. The design plays on the semi-transparency of Pergamenata paper, translating the synergy of images and text with fluidity and poetry. The technical challenge was to render the subtle atmospheres on paper in three-color process, and faithfully reproduce the depth of Piezography® prints. “In the infinite vibrations of light, he creates intimate landscapes that celebrate the beauty of the world.
