With a backpack full of camping gear and curiosity I discover true adventure and wilderness in the middle of industrial landscapes, lost places and over-infrastructured areals. The result is a small art-book presenting detailed travel-diaries and photographs from a trip that offers one possible answer to the question: How wild is the city, how wild am I?

VON WEGEN WILDNIS can be read as literature or travel-inspiration. In photographs, descriptions of experiences and general guesses about wild camping I invite readers to discover the Ruhrgebiet with a fresh view and open heart for its deconstructed beauty.
