Cloud Cuckoo LandTina De Souter Bookdesign
Cloud Cuckoo Land is a boundless imaginary realm between heaven and earth where a colourful company of animals live who love to brag about their powers and want to transcend the laws of society. These megalomanic animals and their pompous doggerels want to disintegrate free thought of our minds and make you wonder what freedom of thought means.
This large format, impressive book (28,5 x 34 cm), was printed in the color space of FOGRA 59, making the colors so vibrant that they seem to pop off the page. Smaller pages with the doggerels written on them alter pages with bright, large images. The cover was printed on a translucent pvc material so that we can play with light and colorful shadows. All books were bound by hand in a saddle stitch with bright lime-yellow thread.
