Giulio Cerocchi - Contaminazioni / ContaminationsBalocco Barbara
This authorial photographic monograph traces the work of Giulio Cerocchi, a Milanese photographer and creative artist, from his beginnings to the present day.
It consists of 5 sections that subdivide the temporal evolution of the author’s creative approach, with a didactic intent to bring the reader closer to understanding the works, in a stratified reading of meanings: from the surface to the core.
Contamination constitutes a sort of sub-plot, a common thread, capable of mixing arts, materials, textures and visual approaches.
The stylistic choice of packaging of the volume synthesises these concepts.
A minimalist exterior with exposed binding, which – once opened – makes visible the structure of the spine bound in contrasting thread and proposes a book block embellished with a multi-level embossed print in which ‘the thread of contamination’ crosses the surface leaving, in debossing, traces of its passage.
