Catalog of the exhibition “Design and the Wondrous: on the Nature of Ornament” presented at the Museum of modern and contemporary art of Saint-Etienne, France. The fabrication echoes the rhythm of the book: to each type of content (essays, pieces presented, exhibition views) matches a specific paper/print association (black on brown, silver on black, four-color process on glossy white). The cover plays with the ornamental pattern produced by the alternation of materials visible on the edge.
