Urban EdgeISIA Urbino - Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche
Project of thesis at ISIA Urbino, for the specialization in publishing, supervisor Luca Pitoni, born from the collaboration of the author with the photographer Alessandro Scotti, which uses the photographic material produced over the years in 9 cities around the world that have undergone a strong process of urbanization.
This is a book/exhibition, which can be broken down and set up in any medium, which investigates the phenomenon of migration and urbanization involving the medium-sized cities of our planet that constitute the great urban corridors. They are the nodes of a global urban province, conurbations and city-regions; outside of these centralizers of regional economic development, isolated metropolises have little chance to thrive. It is in these intermediate cities, often unknown, but crucial to the dynamics of widespread exchange, that double-digit percentage population growth rates can bring about the radical redrawing of social, urban and economic balances.
