Meet Our International Jury

The Jury comprises a panel of international experts in the design, communication and production world. The Jury will then assess the projects received in each category based on criteria that highlights the originality of the graphic design, functionality, accuracy of execution and appropriate use of papers and self-adhesives manufactured by Fedrigoni.


He is a publication designer. His studio, Esterson Associates, has worked on projects for The Guardian newspaper in London, the Neue Zürcher Zeitung in Zurich and Publico in Lisbon.

He was creative director of Italian architecture title Domus. He is Art Director of the international graphic design magazine Eye and since 2014 he has been the Art Director of Pulp magazine. Simon is a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale and a Royal Designer for Industry.


Frank Goerhardt is the Global Publishing Director for TASCHEN, renowned for printing/publishing coffee table books that range from the quintessential Basic Art series to SUMO-sized Collector’s Editions on topics spanning architecture, aphrodisia, art, design, fashion, photography, pop culture, style, and travel.

Right from the beginning of his career, Frank has spent his professional life amidst books. In 1993 he started working at the printing company Editoriale Bortolazzi Stei (EBS) in Verona. From 2000, he was also responsible for the international co-edition market at EBS’s publishing branch Arsenale Editrice.

Whilst working on TASCHEN’s first SUMO production with Helmut Newton at EBS, Frank was initially spotted by Benedikt Taschen and then head-hunted for his publishing house as Head of Production. Since joining TASCHEN in 2005, he has been in charge of every aspect in the production process, from the smallest volume to the most ambitious collector’s editions such as Sebastião Salgado’s Genesis and Annie Leibovitz to David Hockney and Murals of Tibet.

In 2017 Frank was made Global Publishing Director. Today, he is leading an international creative team working across various continents, and is committed to the company’s core values of quality, diversity and innovation.


Ivan started his career as a multidisciplinary graphic designer and became fascinated with consumer brand packaging for alcoholic beverages and luxury products.

For the past 20+ years he has worked alongside Kevin Shaw, founder of Stranger & Stranger, in building the award winning packaging consultancy and overseeing design from their locations in London, New York and San Francisco.

Stranger’s client base is diverse, from well known global brands to new start-ups. When not in the studio, Ivan is frequently found speaking at trade events on alcohol packaging design or judging on international packaging design competitions. Ivan is passionate about brands that disrupt and stand out.


Spanish art and design director Juan Mantilla, has been obsessed with packaging since 2004, when working at Landor Milan doing corporate design projects, he was totally amazed about the freedom and the spaced out canvas packaging can be for a creative.

Coming from pioneering digital design at creative agencies in Spain like WYSIWYG and Icon Medialab back in 1993, it was a pleasure for Juan to switch back to work on the print world, doing branding and packaging.

Since then, all the clients and projects he’s had the opportunity to work with, mostly were related to packaging. Food and accessories packaging for a while, and then in 2009 Juan joined as

senior art director a small design firm in Milan, designing packaging for fragrances, optical, sunglasses and displays, mostly for Safilo, Luxottica and Mavive licensed brands.

The blurry line between cosmetics, skin care and fragrances design was what made him took the challenge to join KIKO on 2010, launching also a few cosmetics brands for the Percassi Group in Italy and globally. Nowadays, he still working as Global Head of Creative for KIKO Milano, in Italy.


Min Wang is Professor at Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing, and he is Vice Chair of CAFA’s Academic Committee.

Min Wang was the Dean of School of Design at CAFA from 2003 to 2016, he was appointed by the Ministry of Education as Chang Jiang Scholars Professor in 2007 and he was Chair Professor at School of Design of Hong Kong PolyU in 2013.

Min Wang was council member of Creative Economy, World Economic Forum and he is member of AGI and was President of AGI China Chapter from 2013 to 2016.

Min was the Design Director for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Committee.

Min was Vice President of ICOGRADA (now Ico-D).  Min Wang is DeTao Master and partner at De Boer Wang Studio in Shanghai. Min received MFA from Yale University in 1988.


Jose Gorbea joined HP in 2017 and is Head of HP Graphics Brands & Agencies Innovation.

Jose is a passionate marketing leader & keynote speaker with solid expertise & thought leadership across the marketing mix, coupled with a strong track record on revitalizing brands by inspiring teams to deliver breakthrough brand strategies & award-winning campaigns through co-creation scale.

He has led for nearly 20 years the overall marketing strategy & execution of well-established brands such as Kit Kat, Crunch, Cadbury, Milka, Toblerone, belVita, Ritz, Philadelphia, Trident and Stimorol across numerous geographies.

Jose has helped shape the marketing culture in global organizations with a socially responsible, competitive & winning mindset by strengthening marketing capabilities in Nestle, Mondelez and now HP.

Jose is a former alumni from the Google Digital Academy and currently an alumni at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business driving Innovation Leadership for HP.

Many awards including CNN’s Grupo Expansion with the Marketing Monster Award for one of the best marketing campaigns of 2010 in Mexico under the Nestle ‘Carlos V’ brand, or Mondelez’s ‘Best Brand Revitalization’ award in 2016 for the successful breakthrough of the Stimorol chewing gum brand in Europe.


Martina joined HP in 2018 as marketing manager for HP Indigo and PWP for Italy.

She is an enthusiastic and dynamic person, with particular interest in customer psychology and consumer behavior.

Despite her young age, with an education in philosophy, an MBA in international marketing and as well as her work experience, Martina is very focused on marketing strategies and their execution, involving herself with passion and creativity.

Today, starting from market trends, she is helping HP to acquire new business segments in the world of digital printing, through dedicated campaigns and projects and working with clients to achieve brilliant results.


Silvana Amato has been working in the field of editorial graphics for over thirty years developing in particular projects in the cultural field. Among her clients there are, just to name a few, the Laterza Publishers, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Palazzo delle Esposizioni of Rome, the Tipoteca Italiana and Nuova Consonanza. Her works are preserved in numerous international public collections. She has taught at various universities including the Sapienza University of Rome, the Academy of Fine Arts in Frosinone, the Naba in Rome and the Iuav in Venice. She currently teaches at the Isia of Urbino where, as a member of the Academic Council, she works alongside teaching and promotes  the culture of the project. She curated the exhibition Segni esemplari for the Museo Bodoniano of Parma and she is one of the co-editors of the Scritture series. Silvana is a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale.

Eclectic and passionate, he has been in charge of Product Branding as well as Corporate Identity projects, for well-known International Companies and “Made in Italy” ambassadors.

Under his guide, a Retail and Digital Branding team born into Robilant Associati.

Skilled expert on consumers and their behavior, he is a speaker and guest at many conferences and conventions. His role combines the firm’s managerial and organizational direction with creative supervision of projects.
