Description
Bilingual edition of the poem The Raven (O corvo), by Edgar Allan Poe, originally published in 1845. Composed by the translation into Portuguese made by the poet Fernando Pessoa, “rhythmically according to the original”, and by six lithographs made by the impressionist artist Édouard Manet for the French edition translated by the poet Stéphane Mallarmé and published by Richard Lesclide, Éditeur (Paris, 1875).
The edition ends with the text “Quem foi Edgar Allan Poe?” (“Who was Edgar Allan Poe?”), by the poet Paulo Leminski, published for the first time by Editora Expressão (São Paulo, 1986).
