JS-PGerard Joan
The year 2024 is the Year of the Catalan poet Joan Salvat-Papasseit, since the centenary of his death is commemorated. That is why from the publisher Lo Diable Gros they have added to the commemoration with a new edition of his complete poetic work.
Martí Font has included in his book the prologue that Joan Fuster wrote in 1962 for the first edition of the complete poetic work in which he claimed the work of the anarchist poet, absent at that time from the first ranks of Catalan poetry .
The book is titled Joan Salvat-Papasseit, Poet with a capital letter and is wrapped in a new edition of the “First Catalan Futurist Manifesto” created for the occasion by the book’s designer Gerard Joan. The volume is a clear example of how the same book can have a vocation to be popular and become a beautiful object.
