Bold is a set of custom playing cards designed by Elettra Deganello and released on Kickstarter in 2020. Dedicated to the Italian typographer Giambattista Bodoni, the deck reinterprets the traditional court cards in a Bold key: solid lines, sturdy figures, and faces and decorations made with typographic signs are the distinctive features.

The playing cards are manufactured in the USA by The United States Playing Card Company. The limited ” Bold 1818″ tuck boxes and the “Bold Lover” bundle housing four decks, for their part, are printed in Italy by Archivio Tipografico Torino on Fedrigoni Sirio paper stock.
