“Nameless” is the latest portfolio by the famous photographer Zhang Xiao. The origin of the creation of the “Nameless” series comes from the “mobile photo studio” he discovered in his hometown of Yantai: some people took laptops and printers along the streets to restore old photos of villagers into “brilliant images”. The aesthetic changes between the old and new photos stimulated Zhang Xiao to use these photos to create and rethink the “change of hometown”.
