Flash Art is a contemporary art and culture magazine founded in 1967 by Giancarlo Politi. In 1978 under the co-direction of Helena Kontova Flash Art was published in two separate edition — respectively International and Italian. Shortly after its first issues became a reference point for artists, designers, collectors, galleries and institutions. The magazine was conceived in the format of a newspaper and in a very short amount of time. Today under the direction of publishers Gea Politi and Cristiano Seganfreddo it progressively increased its size to a 208 coloured pages with a revised graphic identity. Currently it continues to receive more international recognition. Flash Art offers in-depth analysis of artists’ practice and investigates new cultural directions. The magazine takes on a refreshing and visionary perspective at the thought of art, without discarding contemporary discourses such as lifestyle.
